Sirinya Coffee is a family-run specialty coffee farm, roastery and café based in the mountains of Chiang Rai province, run by Oil and Goh Chaosuwanwilai. Sirinya was born out of a commitment to the communities of Doi Chang, as well as caring for the land and constantly striving for excellence in all aspects of coffee.
Opium was grown here for over 100 years before government and NGO initiatives encouraged them to grow coffee. Poppy cultivation here has declined so significantly since the mid-1980s that Thailand is seen as a successful model of alternative development.

While these farmers have been growing coffee successfully for more than 40 years, Goh and Oil share their knowledge and experience in all aspects of speciality coffee production, from the beginning with soil quality and organic farming methods to final processing. For the coffee producers they work with, introducing these additional steps can elevate their excellent coffee to speciality grade and, with it, bring much higher prices and access to new markets.
